Madeira Trip Report

"Pearl in the Atlantic", "floating garden", "island of eternal spring" - the island Madeira, which belongs to Portugal, has many names. It owes this variety of synonyms to its geographical location (with 32°N, 16°W closer to Africa than to Europe, nearly on the same latitude with Casablanca), giving the archipelago, which also encloses the sister-island Porto Santo, the uninhabited "Ilhas Selvagens" and the Desertas-islands, a virtually constantly mild subtropical climate. If you are interested, or you also have been to the "island of love" and want to freshen up your own memories,
